Fumiaki Toyoshima

Fumiaki Toyoshima applique l’ontologie philosophique aux fondements de l’ontologie informatique et s’intéresse en particulier aux ontologies biomédicales. Sa thèse de doctorat portait sur l’ontologie de la causalité et l’application de celle-ci à un modèle général de la maladie. Ses travaux portent aussi sur l’ontologie des dispositions, des rôles, des événements et des affordances. Il a effectué des travaux de recherche au Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, à l’Université de Buffalo (États-Unis) et au Laboratory for Applied Ontology à Trento (Italie). Au GRIIS, il travaille sur l’ontologie des mesures physiologiques et des diagnostics.
