Patrick Andjasubu Bungama
PhD student in computer science
under the direction of Profs. Jean-François Ethier and Luc Lavoie
A PhD student in computer science, Patrick Andjasubu Bungama is interested in database applications in the field of health care.
In his research work, he takes advantage of relational algebra, data structures for interval indexing, and algorithms for manipulating these intervals. He aims at a solution that can represent the data in a compact way, and this, in RAM. He wants to contribute to a relational and temporal engine that will improve the performance of the relational operators handling the intervals.
During his university studies, Patrick Andjasubu Bungama focused on the behavior of multimedia applications and routing protocols on mesh networks. He has helped open up remote areas of northern Brazil using a time-resistant network communication protocol. His research also focused on queries in distributed systems. At Renault, he worked on data security in the automobile industry.
