Simon Lévesque

Ph.D. student in mathematics under the direction of Prof. Jean-François Ethier and Prof. Félix Camirand Lemyre
Presentation
During his bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Simon Lévesque developed an interest in statistics. After his research internships, including one in bioinformatics and one in statistics, this interest became more focused on research in statistics applied to health. His master’s thesis was about adapting and documenting distributed inference methods for generalized linear models in the context of confidential health data. His PhD project is about distributed methods for nonparametric models with differential privacy. In his spare time, he also enjoys sports and Quebec literature.
